RESTORATION OF A HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPH OF MANHATTAN
|St. Patrick's Cathedral photographed at the time when the 5th Avenue was a quiet street perfect for an afternoon stroll and any place above 110th Street was considered to be "the upstate".
The photograph suffered substantial and the overall tome shifted sepia to dirty brown-green. After general cleaning of the photograph's surface a night resolution scan was made and the digital image was retouched to repair the damaged areas and to bring back the details.
A fine art print was made on acid free 100% cotton photo paper produced by Hahnemuhle company that has been manufacturing fine art paper since 16th century.
